Wendy Haslam

NCS & ACC Counsellor Manager and Supervisor

Adult Trainer. Conflict Resolution and Mediation

BA.ED., MA Counselling Psychology, Dip. CPC.

Wendy is the Director of Still Waters. With a background in education, psychology and theology she has worked in a variety of settings prior to establishing Still Waters as a counselling and training centre.

Wendy offers counselling and supervision and leads training days.  She is well placed to help with abuse including historic abuse along with other areas as may be seen on this site.

Conflict Resolution and Mediation is offered, especially to church groups. Within this work we cover safeguarding and bullying and relationships within your church setting.  

Patricia Hellier

SRN. RSCN., RNCT., Dip CPC

Patricia trained as a nurse and has a breadth of experience in both adult and children's nursing.  She spent some time in adult education as a nurse tutor. 

She was a religious sister in the Church of England and thus has a theological background. To this end, she was part of a team that worked with individuals training for ordination. She also worked in a variety of areas within the parish.

Linda Staines

MSc. Family and Systemic Psychotherapist

Linda's background is in broadcasting and teaching. She has worked extensively with families affected by domestic abuse and within the youth justice system. 

Family therapy can help people in close relationship talk about and understand each others' experiences and needs. Research shows its effectiveness in a wide variety of situations where families are experiencing difficulties. We will agree a way of working together, considering each family's unique culture, beliefs, ages and life experiences. Sometimes it doesn't take many sessions for families to find a way forward.
